Kathleen Hittner-McConahy, MA, LMFT, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist – Founder

Kathleen is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Holy Names University. Kathleen has worked in numerous settings including inpatient treatment, residential treatment, medical clinics, private practice and outpatient Kathleen Hittner-McConahy In Ridgefield, WA  clinics. Kathleen offers a strength based collaborative approach to working with others, and values the importance of understanding one’s history, experiences, and current challenges. 

Kathleen provides traditional talk therapy, both in office and virtually, and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.   Although Kathleen values traditional talk therapy, she understands the benefit of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy offered in a therapeutic setting. Kathleen is excited to be able to provide clients with the opportunity to participate in office visits or in an experientially based approach to Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.

Kathleen works with individual adults, adolescents, and families. She is trained in several treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Collaborative Problem Solving. She is also EAGALA certified to offer Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. Kathleen has over 25 years of experience as a practitioner and is licensed in the states of Washington and Oregon.

Wynter Hillary Lewis - Equine Specialist

Wynter offers immense experience as an equine expert and and is an advocate for access to mental health treatment and the well being of others. She has worked with horses for over two decades and believes that people can overcome adversity when they have access to the right support. 

Beyond the stables Wynter has spent much of her life helping at risk individuals, especially children and families. Her commitment to others is reflected through hundreds of hours of volunteer work which she has done independently and in connection with numerous organizations. Wynter does not provide mental health therapy. 

Wynter has a deep understanding of personal challenges and has experienced therapeutic healing and strength through the presence of horses. Although Wynter does not provide therapy she believes in the transformative potential of equine therapy and is excited to support others through her role as Equine Specialist.
